Blogger allows users to edit, create and manage their blog for free, but sometimes installing new templates on your blog might be difficult or tricky for people who are new to blogging. I have always tried to make my tutorials as simple as possible so that people new to blogger could easily grasp what I teach them.
You can either;

- Utilize the free templates provided to you by blogger,
- Create your own and upload the .xml file Or
- Download freely available beautiful templates from internet and upload its .xml file.
But before you upload the new template, I would suggest you to take a backup of your blog.
1 Open Design Tab and Click on Template.
2 Click on "Backup/Restore" button on the top left hand corner.
3 Before uploading a new template, make sure you take a backup of your Blog. Click on "Download Full Template".
4 Open file by clicking on "Chose File" button (marked Red).
5 Upload the template file (.XML format) you have downloaded or created.
